Hi
I dont have insurance and am trying to find out if medicaid would cover my sleep study bills (which should be about $2,500) after the fact...meaning I would apply for medicaid after I had the sleep study done and they would help pay the bill.

Also does anyone know if medicaid would pay for drugs such as stimulants or xyrem should I need them?

I have a minimum wage job with no insurance. I had to quit my teaching job due to extreme fatigue. I cant get the work done on time...and it is too hard to control a class of 30 students if you can't wake up.

thanks for info
Sean

Hey I know you posted this a while ago... but I am currently applying for MedicAid... if I get approved I will be doing sleep studies and other things.. I will let you know how that pans out. Also I wanted to let you know that here in MN they offer a program for people who need medical assistance, who arent offered it through work and can not get approved for MedicAid due to making to much money and dont make enough to insurance on their own. I am not sure if thats just through Allina and with Fibromyalgia, but I am sure wherever you are, some rehab place offers it as well. I just say... keep looking and if I find something out for ya... I will let ya know!!! Best of luck!

NORD 1-800-999-6673 or 203-744-0100
National Organization for Rare Diseases has programs to help patients pay for medications including Xyrem.

Call to see if you qualify!
