I am posting this question - just to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
I have taken budesonide for about a week, three times - in the last few months, (because the CPAP appears to have caused chronic sinusitis - requiring budesonide spray) and in each instance I find that my heart races and I feel weak , and I have the same old shaky and starving feelings I had prior to CPAP therapy. It was so bad a few nights ago that I felt like my heart was going to pound right out of my chest.
So I am done experimenting, I know there is a correlation. but I feel crazy - the doctors have never heard of such a side affect and offer no explanation (I was told when I was 20 - 15 yrs ago- that I have a murmur, P.A.T - but that has been so much better since CPAP too)
If I can't use the spray I will not be able to avoid the surgery.
anybody else out there like budesonide?? or the other sprays that may be just as effective
thanks

lazylisa,
there are a few different prescription corto steroid sprays that have different charactoristics. call your doc and ee if he will call in a script for a different one. it usually takes about a week for them to start working and to find out if you will have any unwelcome side effects (ie;nose bleed, stuffiness, etc.) but it would be worth it for you to find the "right" one that works for you. everyone is different. i am presently trying my second one. try them all if you have to. you may be able to avoid the surgery. |

Hey there,
Steroid sprays and inhalers shouldn't do that or produce those symptoms.
What you describe are consistent with side-effects from bronchodilators or heavy caffeine use.
It is also consistent with PAT or PAF. Are you certain you are not having these rapid rhythms again ? If you are, it shouldn't be related to rhinocort. Have you seen your doc to get an EKG checked ?
There are other products out there you can try...but you should verify that you aren't having irregular rhythms first.
Good luck,
Bill |
