Neurologist or Sleep Specialist?

Actually, the neurologist one would see for N is also a sleep specialist. Sleep specialists come in two varieties (at least that I have noticed)-- pulmologist/lung people and neurologists. A sleep pulmologist might not have the experience in treating someone with N. Of course any given sleep neuro might not either. Its important to find a doctor who has a lot of experiencing working with N, I think. Where I am located I saw a neurologist and a pulmologist. The neurologist didn't seem to want to touch my N with a ten foot pole. The pulmologist tried to treat me, but he has very little experience with N and wasn't up on the latest research and indications for things like xyrem, etc. So I now travel a bit and see a neurologist who is very experienced with N.
