Hi: Know how you feel. It is very rare that I do not feel exhausted. I use a few things for temprary relief. Cup of coffee first thing. Icy cold glass of orange always makes me feel slightly better. And at night a couple of glasses of wine makes me forget I feel like crap.
Xyrem didn't help for me either.
Sounds like we are much better off than the poor lady in constant pain who wants to die. I used to feel like that when I took too many meds and was dizzy all the time. I have cut down a lot and still sleep the same (just 1mg Klonopin and a small shot of nyquil). So I really don't have a dizzy hangover feeling anymore. But as you say, I never feel refreshed, just don't feel as bad as I used to on Ambien.
Sorry I can't say anything helpful. Have not posted on here for ages as I have nothing new to say....crappy sleep continues and I can't imagine life not feeling tired. You'd think we'd learn to accept it wouldn't you but it is easier said than done.
My neighbor gave me the DVD "the secret" the other day and said if I watched it I would sleep. Had to concentrate really hard on not punching him...have not watched it either...if only positive thoughts could take care of this problem. These idiots who do not have the problem have no idea. |

hi,
yes,i have had two sleep studies. both showed that i had a very mild rem-related sleep apne and very little stage3,4 sleep. i did a course of therapeutic c-pap but had no improvements. the sleep specialists seem to feel that only 3.8 % is not a problem but i disagree.
