Where have you guys gone to sleep?
I have gone to sleep:
1, In nurses report in a hospital.
2. Watching the movie "Green Berets" SEVEN times (I've never seen it). Movies I have watched many many times and never saw: green Berets, Woodstock, Platoon, Nightmare on elm Street, Halloween.
3. Standing in the middle of an intersection holding a STOP sign, waiting for semis to deliver cement, leaning on a car.
4. Sitting in my car at the drive up window At Arby's, waiting for a "to go" breakfast, with my foot on the brake. As I started moving my foot off the brake, I was going forward inches at a time. I woke up about 6' from the drive up window. lol |

| This triggered a memory of me going to see Poltergeist and Clash of the Titans a few times in the theater as a kid, and falling asleep each time! This is something I forgot about and makes me wonder if my IH/narcolepsy started even earlier than I thought! |

| During MRI's. THe noise didn't cause problems at all. They were going to let me sleep for a bit longer than they needed but I woke up on my own. I didn't go into a good sleep, just enough to make the time go by really quickly. |

I am a pro at standing and sleeping in line at CedarPoint for a two hour wait for millennium force coaster when it was new. I recall a 15 minute wait just requires a friend to nudge u to talk steps ahead and so no one passes you.
It was before 911 and I wad in a airplain simulator and we had turbulence sirens and I still don't recall anything. Slept like a baby |

I volunteer for a Parrot Rescue. I have a favorite bird (a female eclectus named Pretty Bird) that is fostered by someone else. She's my baby, though, and I would take her home in a heartbeat if I had the room for a large bird. At any rate... she's mostly naked (chronic feather picker) and the location we were at was a bit chilly. I had her on my shoulder and she snuggled up against my neck and ear...and became my own feathery pillow right in the middle of an adoption event. She made a good pillow and she didn't seem to mind. I also don't think that anyone really noticed me sleeping. I think everyone thought I was just snuggling her. [/img] |

On the toilet
At dinner on my food
On the beach - the tide woke me up -Not when the water lapped my feet but when the wave crashed on me
Sex
Carried out of the Night club by bouncers because they thought I had too much too drink. I woke up when I felt the cold night air or was it when they tried to make me walk
Malls: security guards wake me up because they think I am ill
When I get my hair cut
On buses and trains where i end up where I started or too many places past where I wanted to get off
Baseball game: I think team was Atlanta Braves |

My husband has fallen asleep:
*At the dentist's office... in the chair during a procedure
*Toilet stalls (public)
*Movie theatres (during the loudest films ever)
*Sitting straight up while talking to people
*While driving
*During work - while actually working (more like auto behavior)
*At bus stops, missing the bus entirely
*While riding a bicycle (several times)
*On the beach as the tide came in.
Those are the strangest ones I can recall. |
