I too have had similar experiences. I've seen a spider on the wall, but its not really there when I was younger. Eventually it stopped but I do remember very well, that I was fully awake, at least I thought so, and would see a rather large spider on the wall above the bed. (I would freak out, i just don't like spiders) and then it would vanish, nothing there. I've always had weird or unexplainable experiences at night, have since I was old enough to remember. But now, its been the same feeling of out of body experience, not able to move, but can see the ground below me and my body lying in bed. Anyways, on the spider note...i've been there so maybe your not crazy, or maybe we're all just a little crazy. Who knows...

I also have this OBE sometimes, I cant move, I feel soooo strange, I know I'm not asleep, and I'm sure I'm not awake either but I am concious! I don't always see myself (or my body) but it feels "I" am going somewhere while "I" was still on the bed, almost like the awake me is sneaking out while the asleep me is fast asleep in bed..it happens to me sometimes during naps in afternoon.

I bought a book once about OBE's but it was rather weird than informative. The gist was that they couldn't prove it even though in some cases the OBE experiencers recited events that were miles away from them, and at times when they were not awake for sure.

I've been seeing the spiders for about six months now. Two nights ago for the first time it was a ball of worms instead. I thought I was going blind until I googled and found all the rest of you with the same problem. This is a really strange phenomenon, isn't it? Strange what our brains can do. Really, so many of us seeing spiders?

I thought I was the only one... I get the spiders, the occasional snake (im terrified of both so I have assumed it was a night terror)... more often I get a mass of wires getting wrapped around the turning ceiling fan. Talk about ridiculous. It looks and feels SO real. I've been on klonopin for 5 years for sleep walking and night terrors. I thought that would have ceased something... but no luck. Guess my husband will have to get used to me freaking out about a toaster getting tangled in the fan... Shocked

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one!! I have had dreams about spiders too, often believeing that they are in my bed and when I spot them, they don't stay there long, usually scuttle away but there have also been times where I've had to switch the light on...

I also remember a long time ago when I was convinced there were tons of flies in my room....

Its awful, I hope it dosen't bother you for much longer!
