History of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare:
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare entered the respiratory care market in 1971 with a unique respiratory humidifier system for use in critical care. In 1992 we entered the Obstructive Sleep Apnea market, with a heated humidifier for the application of CPAP therapy. This was later followed by the first ever CPAP to include a fully integrated humidifier. This history of innovation has continued through the years and most recently with the launch of the new F&P ICON™ CPAP platform in 2010, a CPAP that blends seamlessly into the bedroom environment and helps to overcome some of the psychological barriers patients can experience when introduced to CPAP therapy.
