Since its inception in 1997, the National Fibromyalgia Association has developed and executed programs dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients of this chronic pain disorder, and to raising awareness of fibromyalgia among the general public, the media, government agencies, and medical communities.
The NFA supports, educates, and uplifts fibromyalgia patients by disseminating information about the disorder, details of current treatments, and the latest research on fibromyalgia's etiology and potential treatments. It advocates for patients and increases awareness of fibromyalgia and chronic pain issues by interacting with the media and the general public, and by maintaining strong ties to the medical community and government agencies.
The National Fibromyalgia Association can be found online at www.fmaware.org.
