Respironics Releases New Electronic Pulse Oxygen Device (ePOD™)

(NASDAQ/NMS Symbol: RESP) announces the release of ePOD™, a new Electronic Pulse Oxygen Device, which combines the durability and simplicity of pneumatic conservers with the pulse dose capability of electronic conservers. Respironics offers ePOD™ with a two-year guaranteed battery life (estimated to be 3 ½ million breaths based on 20 breaths-per-minute for four hours a day over two years).

Even if the battery needs to be replaced, the device can operate in the continuous flow mode without any power at all. This helps to reinforce a patient's safety and comfort.
