Three More Airlines Join SeQual Eclipse Flock

ATA, Hawaiian and Sun Country Approve SeQual's Eclipse Portable Oxygen Concentrator for Passenger Use

San Diego, CA - February 1, 2007

SeQual Technologies Inc., which develops oxygen systems known worldwide for their reliability, quality, revolutionary design and economy announced today that three more airlines have approved their portable Eclipse(R) Oxygen System for use aboard all of their flights: ATA, Hawaiian Airlines and Sun Country.

"We're now at 10 airlines and counting," said Stu Novitz, SeQual's North American sales manager. "This is great news for our providers - when one of their patients wants to travel, the Eclipse is a single-device solution. No more tanks or heavy stationary concentrators to worry about."

The Eclipse is the only portable oxygen concentrator on the market that provides both pulse and continuous flow, making it a crucial part of the travel puzzle for active seniors for whom mobility remains essential. Most oxygen patients require continuous flow during sleep - the accepted standard of care. Prior to the Eclipse, providers had to arrange for the expensive delivery of oxygen cylinders or a stationary concentrator to meet their patients' continuous flow needs when they were traveling.

"It's great that my Eclipse patients have a single device that can meet all of their needs - and that there are so many airlines that allow it," said Jim Karls, a provider from New York. "With these new approvals coming in from the airlines every week, the options available to active oxygen patients in terms of nationwide and even worldwide travel have expanded drastically in just a short period of time."

In September, the FAA cleared the Eclipse for use aboard all commercial airliners and SeQual has since worked to have individual airlines allow oxygen patients to operate the Eclipse in-flight. The airline approvals mean that over 2 million Americans needing continuous flow oxygen therapy now have numerous worry-free airline options when making travel plans.
Previously, patients could transport, but not use the Eclipse on an airplane, forcing them to rely on oxygen cylinders provided by the airline while in-flight.

"All the parties involved - from the providers to the airlines and the oxygen patients - are reaching the same conclusion," said Novitz. "The Eclipse, the more cost-effective and mobile technology with superior oxygen delivery, is available, so let's go out and make the most of it."

Developed over five years at a cost of $12 million, the Eclipse weighs 17 pounds, has a retractable handle and wheels for mobility, and is about the size of a student's backpack. It was designed to fit easily under standard airplane seats.

The complete list of airlines, which changes weekly as additional airlines are added, along with guidelines for travel aboard each airline, can be found online at www.sequal.com/Travel_connection.asp.
