Sunrise Medical Announces New Focus

Sunrise Medical announced plans to evolve into two separate organizations -- A mobility-focused business and a respiratory-focused business. Sunrise Mobility will supply Quickie®, Jay®, Guardian®, Hoyer®, and Bio Clinic® products. In addition Sunrise Mobility will offer the A.R.T. Group® portfolio of products which includes Whitmyer®, AES®, Rehabilitech®, Kid Kart® and Kid's Up® brands. DeVilbiss Healthcare, Inc. will supply the DeVilbiss respiratory and sleep therapy product lines.

This evolution of Sunrise Medical as two distinct businesses is expected to improve agility, flexibility and responsiveness to industry demands for both organizations. Sunrise Mobility and DeVilbiss Healthcare are finalizing their global operational and commercial plans. However each organization will have a dedicated sales force. DeVilbiss customers can continue to order products through Sunrise Medical until July 1, 2007. After that date, DeVilbiss customers will be required to place orders with DeVilbiss Healthcare. Customers will receive detailed instructions in the next month on the logistics of the creation of the two companies.

Sunrise Mobility sales associates will begin representing the A.R.T. Group portfolio of products beginning July 1, 2007. Beyond Selling and Marking, all other A.R.T. Group functions will remain independent. This will ensure that the A.R.T. Group preserves its unique operational flexibility. The A.R.T. Group will also continue to capitalize on the values that Rehab Product Specialists (RPS) bring to the ordering experience.
