The American Sleep Apnea Association, with a help of a generous grant, is remaking their 1994 educational video "What is Sleep Apnea?"
This 17-minute video has provided an introduction to sleep apnea to thousands of patients in doctors' offices and sleep labs around the country since its release. Despite its dated-ness and it is only available in VHS format, there is still a lot of interest in the video.
"We are excited to provide an updated version of our video," says ASAA executive director Ed Grandi. "So much has changed" he goes on to say about the treatment options available for sleep apnea. "And it is important to have current information available for those looking for answers."
The plan is to have the video in DVD format finished in time for the holidays. The DVD will be available for purchase from the ASAA website.
