    Yes, you need a prescription from your doctor.

    The Eclipse comes with a battery, AC Power Supply, DC Power Supply, cart with a telescoping handle and an extra gross particle filter.

    You can always bring extra charged batteries with you.

    The battery can operate from 1.25 to 4.5 hours depending on your flow settings.

    The Eclipse is a regular oxygen concentrator and has a 3 year warranty on the product.

  8. I have a small compact car, will it fit in my trunk?
    The Eclipse was designed to fit under the seat of an airplane. It weighs less than 18 pounds.

  9. My current oxygen concentrator is very loud, what is the noise level of Eclipse as opposed to other brands?
    The noise and the heat are much less than large oxygen concentrators on the market.

    The warranty for the product is 3 years.

    Yes, weekly cleaning of the gross particle filter and the internal filters require changing.

  12. How do I check and replace internal Filters?
    There are 2 filters internal to the Eclipse which can be checked and changed as needed by your home health care provider or an authorized service center.

  13. I am wondering about daily maintenance – cleaning the unit, what is required?
    You should always keep your medical equipment clean and follow the recommended maintenance and cleaning instructions in the User Manual

  14. I am concerned about travel in different areas of elevations.I am traveling from Florida to Colorado. Does it automatically adjust or what do we patients need to know about elevation changes?
    The Eclipse is specified to operate up to 13,123 feet in elevation and still produce medical grade oxygen.

    Yes. Always check ahead of schedule, at least 48 hours, to make sure you have the necessary information on hand.

    Yes, however check with the specific airline before making reservations to see if the Eclipse is approved for use on the particular airline and what specific requirements they may have. Some airlines have information on their web site.

  18. What is the difference between continuous flow and pulse flow?
    When set in Continuous Flow Mode, the Eclipse produces a constant flow oxygen. When set in Pulse Flow Mode, the Eclipse delivers a bolus of oxygen when a inspiratory effort is detected from the nasal cannula.

  19. What are the advantages of Eclipse over other oxygen concentrators?
    The Eclipse has continuous flow and pulse flow. It can operate from battery power, AC power or DC power any where in the world. It is small and lightweight, approved for use on board commercial airlines.

    Yes, the Eclipse can be reimbursed by Medicare for both the stationary oxygen code, E1390 and the ambulatory code, E1392.

  23. Can I use my Eclipse with my CPAP Machine?
    The Eclipse provides a continuous flow of oxygen. If you currently use another oxygen concentrator with your CPAP with flows less than 3 LPM, then you may be able to use the Eclipse in the same manner.

  47. Can I use oxygen if I smoke?
    Oxygen can rapidly accelerate a fire. You should never smoke while using oxygen, or even when you are near the equipment. It is best if you do no smoke or let others smoke in your home or near your oxygen equipment.

  48. Do I have to use my oxygen at all times?
    Your physician will prescribe the best oxygen prescription for you. You should use your oxygen based on how your doctor and respiratory therapist instructs you. Do not change your prescription, unless you consult your doctor first.

  49. Where do I get my oxygen after my doctor prescribes it?
    Your doctor should give you a list of Home Health Care providers in your area. These companies deliver your oxygen, help you set it up and will take care of the maintenance of your oxygen equipment.

  50. How long will I have to use my oxygen?
    COPD is a progressive disease. Most patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease will continue to need oxygen to some degree for the rest of their life. Consult your doctor about an exercise program and other activities and diet that may be a benefit to live with this disease.

    Encourage your husband to see his doctor or consult with a pulmonologist.

    It is likely with COPD, however, it is recommended to talk to your doctor about a healthy lifestyle consisting of daily exercise, a healthy diet and enough sleep.

  53. Why would I have to use oxygen?
    If you are having trouble breathing, sleeping or getting around, this may be a sign that you may have a chronic lung condition that is limiting the amount of oxygen reaching into your lungs and your bloodstream. Your doctor will perform some tests that will identify the need for you to have oxygen for various activities in your life, such as sleep, altitude, exercise and rest.

  54. What happens if I don’t use my oxygen like my doctor prescribes?
    Use should use your oxygen as your doctor has prescribed. If you do not, your symptoms may get worse and lead to complications to your condition. You should always consult your physician before making any change or discontinuing your prescription.

    The quality of your life is in your own hands. How you chose to live is completely up to you. The Eclipse allows you all the mobility and freedom that you choose. Because of the continuous flow, high dosing Pulse dose system, battery power, ability to operate in a car; you have all you need in one piece of equipment to do whatever you want.
