New Compressor Nebulizer System From DeVilbiss Healthcare Simplifies Operation In A Field-Proven Design

Longmont, CO - November 5, 2007

DeVilbiss Healthcare announces the introduction of the DeVilbiss® PulmoNeb™ Compressor Nebulizer System that builds upon the field-proven advantages of the DeVilbiss Pulmo-Aide® Compact Compressor.

The PulmoNeb offers best-in-class performance and a highly intuitive design that makes it easy for patients to operate. The unit features a piston type compressor that is comprised of primarily metal parts and has a ball bearing connecting rod design that enhances system reliability. The PulmoNeb design has no internal tubing, which ultimately improves reliability and reduces the chance of leaks.

Additional performance features include an integrated nebulizer holder and an easily accessible one-piece MicroPore® Filter that requires no tools to change. Plus, the top-of-unit tubing connector facilitates attachment and removal – especially important for patients with limited dexterity.

The PulmoNeb System can be ordered with either a disposable nebulizer or DeVilbiss 800 Reusable Jet Nebulizer. A children’s version of this unit will launch in December and includes a disposable nebulizer and the new exclusive DeVilbiss Breathies Bunch™ interactive educational resource kit for children with asthma.

DeVilbiss Healthcare develops, manufactures, markets and services a broad portfolio of respiratory products including oxygen therapy equipment, pulmonary drug delivery systems and sleep apnea therapy solutions.

MicroPore is a registered trademark of MicroPore Plastics, Inc.
