DeVilbiss Healthcare featured the DeVilbiss® iFill® Personal Oxygen Station Model 535D at the Medtrade 2007 Fall Conference and Exposition. The iFill Station is designed to make it easy and convenient for individuals to fill portable oxygen cylinders in their homes.

For home oxygen providers, the DeVilbiss iFill Station provides an opportunity to maintain superior customer service and profitability while converting to a non-delivery or limited delivery business model.

The iFill Station extracts purified oxygen from room air using standard oxygen concentrator technology. The unit is designed to fill oxygen cylinders only and cannot be used for direct oxygen inspiration. As a stand-alone device, there’s no need to replace the customers’ existing concentrators.

The iFill Station provides the flexibility to fill a variety of iFill proprietary cylinders including M6, ML6, C, D and E. What’s more, the M6 cylinders can be filled in just a little over an hour – not the two hours it can take with competitive in-home oxygen filling units. Shorter fill times save energy costs.

In addition, partially filled cylinders easily can be topped off to give users greater freedom to leave their home on short notice. Cylinders can be refilled as often as needed.

The iFill Station can be placed and used virtually anywhere in the home. The unit automatically shuts off when filling is complete. Easy-roll casters make it easy to move and store the unit when not in use.

The unit can be ordered with a choice of cylinders including the DeVilbiss PD1000A PulseDose® Oxygen Conserving Cylinder that’s designed to minimize discomfort associated with oxygen therapy. The PulseDose cylinder delivers a clinically optimal bolus of oxygen (per liter setting) deep into the lungs. The volume of oxygen is consistent, regardless of breathing rate, eliminating the need to adjust settings during exertion. An intuitive click-stop prescription control knob lets users easily choose among eight common prescription settings.

The iFill standard regulator cylinder provides 5 to 6 lpm continuous flow while featuring a single lumen cannula and brass fittings.
