SeQual Eclipse Desktop Charger Now Available: Allows Oxygen Users More Versatility, Mobility

SeQual Technologies Inc., which develops oxygen systems known worldwide for their reliability, quality, and revolutionary design and economy, announced it has launched a standalone desktop battery charger for its Eclipse® Oxygen System.

The Eclipse is the most powerful portable oxygen concentrator (POC) available - it is the only concentrator available that offers the patient both pulse and continuous flow of oxygen.  Previously, Eclipse users could charge one battery at a time- the battery inside of their Eclipse.  The new desktop charger will allow patients to charge a separate backup battery while using their oxygen system. The charger is approximately eight inches wide, three inches tall, and three inches deep, about the size of a flashlight.

The charger comes with a detachable North American power cord for any standard household 120 VAC outlet, but is compatible with international plugs with 100 to 240 VAC, and 50 to 60 Hz. to ensure easy charging wherever Eclipse users travel.

Since its commercial launch in August of 2006, Bixby said the feedback from both Eclipse users and physicians has exceeded expectations.

"Every user we interviewed appreciated the versatility of the Eclipse," said Bixby.  "It's about quality of life.  The Eclipse provides the robust oxygen supply of a 50 pound concentrator, but in a more lightweight travel-friendly package.  Our new charger adds even more flexibility and versatility."     

SeQual said the charger retails for $239, and is now available to patients via SeQual's Web site or through their medical provider.
