I only had my CPAP machine about three weeks before my husband and I were scheduled for a five-week trip to Egypt in early 2008. I was frantic because I had soon discovered that I couldn't use a regular pillow with my nasal mask. I kept digging my nose in and dislodging the mask when I slept, thereby creating leaks. What was I going to sleep on in Egypt? And if I couldn't sleep, how was I going to enjoy my trip?

In surfing the Internet, I chanced on the PAPillows. In desperation, I sent my husband out in a raging snowstorm to get both the large and small pillows. My criteria: a pillow that didn't collide with my mask and would fit in my small suitcase. To my delight, the small one did the trick in every respect. That pillow has now seen many exotic locales: Cairo, Luxor, Alexandria, and Abu Simbel. However, I always wondered what the hotel laundry people thought about the pillowcase when I sent it in for washing. Did they think it was some kind of weird underwear? Did they think we had kinky habits? Who knows?
