SeQual Technologies Names Randy Steward as Chief Operating Officer

San Diego, CA - October 17,2008

SeQual Technologies Inc., a San Diego-based medical equipment manufacturer which develops oxygen systems known worldwide for their reliability, quality,and revolutionary design and economy,announced today the appointment of Randy Steward to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr.Steward's most recent experience includes working for Spectrum Brands Inc. (Rayovac Corp.) a $2.5 billion publicly traded global consumer products company with operations in over 100 countries and distribution in more than one million stores. Brand names include: Rayovac, Varta, Remington, Tetra and Cutter. He held the title of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

He is a highly motivated senior executive with extensive operational and financial experience at both private and public companies, including both large mature companies and fast-growth entrepreneurial environments. He is a strategic thinker experienced in setting and achieving aggressive worldwide company objectives. Randy has a proven track record of effectively managing business expansion while instilling financial discipline, streamlining processes and containing costs.

Prior to working with Spectrum Brandshe had worked with THERMOSCAN,INC.,San Diego,CA a Division of Braun;a wholly owned subsidiary of The Gillette Company. This was a company who had developed a very successful line of technology applied to human body temperature measurement where he served as President and General Manager. Mr. Steward holds B.B.A., Accounting—Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas (1976) CPA and Member of AICPA.
