With ResMed’s November launch of the new Mirage SoftGel, we are happy to now offer you a high-quality option in the gel mask category.

Instant appeal, familiar fit

The SoftGel is a great option for a number of reasons. Patients have already indicated a strong preference for the SoftGel over other nasal gel masks. In market research trials, eight out of ten patients rated the SoftGel as more comfortable and durable than competitive masks. Additionally, three out of four patients rated their overall quality of sleep better with the SoftGel.1

It makes sense - there’s something immediately appealing about the texture and resilience of the DoubleGel™ cushion. So it’s easy to understand why a patient, faced with a variety of mask options, would naturally take to a gel mask. The flexible material is exceptionally comfortable and soft to the touch.

An added benefit is that, as a gel mask, fitting is very intuitive. Because the pliable gel materials mold to the contours of a patient’s face, there’s no need for multiple adjustments to achieve a strong seal. If you’ve ever fit a gel mask before, your fitting techniques will translate perfectly with the SoftGel, so you’ll spend less time fine-tuning fit. 

Comfort and stability

As a model of ResMed’s mask quality, the SoftGel features a unique cushion design, known as the DoubleGel cushion. DoubleGel incorporates two gel layers to provide softness and comfort against the face at the outer clear layer, and stability and support from the inner blue layer. Because the gel material is fully encapsulated, you won’t experience the chemical odor often associated with gel products, and there is no danger of leakage.

Swapouts are easy

ResMed has made the SoftGel available as part of our new ConvertAble™ series.The ConvertAble series allows the choice of two different mask cushions – the SoftGel or the Mirage Activa LT – with one interchangeable frame. The advantage of the ConvertAble platform is that you can easily exchange one cushion style for another if you want to try another option. The freedom to easily choose another mask can help you minimize swapout costs and can also give patients a feeling of greater control over and engagement with their own therapy. Ultimately, we believe that offering a patient more choice will help improve compliance over the long-term. Which leads us to our most important point
