Today, the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) unveiled a major redesign and significant upgrade to the BRPT website, www.brpt.org. The new site has been designed to offer RPSGT and CPSGT candidates, current BRPT credential holders, and other stakeholders a broad range of resources in a fresh and user-friendly format.
“Our goal in developing the new site was to make it a rich source of information in an easy-to-navigate format for techs, our candidates and others with an interest in the field of sleep technology,” said BRPT President Janice East, RPSGT, R. EEG T. “We’re also excited to offer a new blog. We’ll use the blog to respond to questions from candidates and techs, address issues within the field, and share innovative ideas. We believe strongly in working to create a sense of community and professional pride among our credential holders. The new www.brpt.org promises to be an excellent community resource.”
The site contains additional useful resources to help candidates preparing to sit for the RPSGT or CPSGT exam. And, on October 1, the site will be enhanced to include a comprehensive secure, online portal to facilitate the recertification process for RPSGTs and CEC tracking for CPSGTs.
In addition to the blog, to be authored by East, the site contains other new features including:
Added Cindy Altman, RPSGT, R. EEG/EP T., BRPT Board Member and Chair of the Website Development Committee, “In addition to the site’s new features, the overall design – the way in which information is presented and accessed – has been substantially improved. The navigation system allows users to efficiently find the resources needed to help prepare for the RPSGT or CPSGT exams and work toward recertification. And, the message board allows RPSGTs and CPSGTs to follow and contribute to an on-going dialogue occurring among their peers.”
The BRPT is an independent, non-profit certification board that cultivates the highest professional and ethical standards for polysomnographic technologists. The new site can be accessed at www.brpt.org.
