Respironics' Introduces ComfortLite™ Nasal Mask - A Unique Mask System that Minimizes Facial Contact

The new ComfortLite™ from Respironics, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS Symbol: RESP) is the latest addition to Respironics Comfort Series™ of masks. Smaller and lighter, the ComfortLite™ offers two interchangeable cushions providing maximum comfort and choice with minimal mask contact.

"The ComfortLite is a great alternative for patients who seek minimal facial contact and reduced pressure points from their mask. It's also ideal for patients with skin sensitivities or who may feel claustrophobic with a more traditional nasal mask," said Laurie Scott, Patient Interface Product Manager, Homecare division.

The ComfortLite comes with two nasal interface options which gives providers more flexibility to fit more patients on the same platform and gives patients a choice of mask styles in one package. The Direct Seal™ cushion provides a comfortable seal without insertion into the nostrils, and the Simple Cushion™ is a small, tip-of-the-nose interface.

In addition to the interface, the ComfortLite uses a unique headgear system that separates the hose from the mask area for greater stability and a 360 ° hose swivel that accommodates hose preference. Multiple adjustment points on the headgear help to fit the ComfortLite to a wide variety of head sizes and ensure mask stability.

Patients create a personalized seal through use of the nine-position angular adjuster and rotating vertical adjuster that provide optimal cushion placement for superior seal and comfort.
