ResMed, a manufacturer and developer of products for the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing, announced the enhancement of its SleepTrack™ program. In addition to patient outcomes management software, SleepTrack now includes materials to help ResMed's business partners improve their companies and grow.
The program consists of four modules-operations, marketing, education, and diagnostics-designed to increase a company's referral sources and optimize operational procedures.
According to Dr. Terry Davidson of UCSD Medical School, "Some of these materials will be the first step in getting patients to communicate their OSA symptoms to their physicians, and for this reason they may be invaluable to the patients and our healthcare system in general." Adds Ron Richard, ResMed's VP of Marketing, "Many times, doctors have difficulty opening a dialogue with patients about the seriousness of sleep apnea and the importance of CPAP therapy. We hope these materials will facilitate productive discussions between patients and physicians." "The goal," says Richard, "is getting diagnosis, prescription, and adherence with treatment. We think education is the best way to accomplish these things."
Further information can be obtained by contacting Bobby Haywood, Marketing Communications Specialist and SleepTrack Program Administrator at ResMed Corp, San Diego, at (858) 746-2246 or by visiting the company's multilingual web site at www.resmed.com.
