One of the fundamental elements for our survival is water. Like the rest of our body, the nasal airway is dependent on staying hydrated in order to function effectively.
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure is a highly effective treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea, but the high air flow created by CPAP rapidly removes moisture from the nasal airway, leaving many patients feeling dry, congested and uncomfortable.
Heated humidifiers replenish moisture loss, providing effective, drug-free relief of symptoms and achieving one of the most important objectives of CPAP treatment - restoration of lifestyle.
The Fisher & Paykel HC200 Humidified CPAP System is designed with lifestyle in mind. An integrated CPAP and heated humidifier, the HC200 is effective and simple to use. A full range of settings allow the system to be easily customized for each patient.
The HC200 makes travel convenient. Lightweight and compact, the HC200 incorporates automatic voltage switching, allowing for use in almost any country in the world.
Each unit is supplied with two humidification chambers, a 1.8 metre (6 foot) tube, and a replacement air filter. An attractive carry bag is also available.
For 20 years, intensive care units throughout the world have relied on Fisher & Paykel Healthcare's humidification systems to treat critically ill patients. The HC200 is a union of this clinical expertise and 20 years experience in designing and manufacturing leading edge motor and drive systems.
The HC200 series humidified CPAP system has a warm-up mode which allows CPAP pressure and humidity to build up gradually from minimum to the levels that have been set.
The user can activate the warm-up mode during the night if they so desire.
