You simply have to experience it. For further investigation about C-Flex™ technology see these research findings:
Just take one breath on the REMstar Pro with C-Flex and you'll see why CPAP therapy has never felt so comfortable. C-Flex is a patented new technology, only from Respironics, that delivers a totally unique, more comfortable positive pressure therapy experience.
C-Flex tracks individual breathing patterns, providing personalized pressure relief at the beginning of exhalation (breathing out). This pressure relief reduces the work of exhalation and provides added comfort to help you sleep through the night, every night. With C-Flex, you can select one of three pressure relief settings that is most comfortable for you.
By reducing the work of exhalation, C-Flex minimizes the potential for leaks and the discomfort they can cause. When trying to breathe out against traditional CPAP therapy, patients often experience air leaks around their mask, or sometimes open their mouth and allow air to leak out. Both of these types of leaks can disturb sleep and impact the effectiveness of therapy. C-Flex's lower pressure helps to eliminate leaks and their associated problems.
Personalized pressure relief and fewer leaks will help to increase comfort during your therapy. If you are newly diagnosed with sleep disordered breathing, be sure to ask your sleep lab clinician or your physician if your condition can be managed with C-Flex. If you've been on a positive pressure device for a while and are considering purchasing a replacement unit, be sure to ask your home healthcare provider to let you breathe on C-Flex. You simply have to experience it.
