Your mask is an important part of your positive airway pressure treatment. Mask performance plays a key role in providing the correct treatment pressure. A mask that does not seal properly allows air to escape, which in turn may lessen the treatment pressure received. A reduction in pressure will make you more susceptible to apneas and hypopneas. A comfortable mask is also important because it will increase the time you are willing to wear the mask. The Mirage® Full Face Mask Series 2 brings together the latest innovations in mask design and materials to improve performance, comfort, durability, safety and ease of use.
Many patients receiving positive airway pressure therapy breathe through their mouths. Air leaking from the mouth during treatment may compromise therapy. The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 is more suitable than a nasal mask in this situation as it allows delivery of the treatment pressure through your nose and/or mouth.
The comfort and performance of the Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 has been optimized with the following design features:
The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 is designed to be long lasting and easy to use. Durability has been further improved with the introduction of the new Breath-O-Prene headgear material, which has Velcro™ tabs welded to the headgear straps for extra strength and easy adjustment. The frame's elbow clips have been designed for superior strength.
The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 system has a complete range of replacement parts.
The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 is hypo-allergenic and contains no latex or neoprene.
The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 has a valve that automatically opens if the flow generator ceases operation (eg, during a power failure) enabling you to breathe room air while still wearing the mask. A Quick Release Tab can be pulled to release the headgear and mask in case of an emergency.
