    bumping for others to notice.

Thanks for the bump on this one so that we new users would notice it.

Daisys, Question from reading some of your posts – were you on Xyrem and Cortef at the same time? And any comments about the combination?

I think I read that in dealing w/your fatigue/fibro you are now off of xyrem and doing better, right? So you transitioned OK from taking xyrem to going off of it and your body taking over and reestablishing sleep?

Yes, I am on xyrem, and also continue to take cortef. I guess I don’t have a comment, since I don’t notice one affecting the other. No one’s ever brought the subject up to me, and I haven’t read anything about the two of them interacting.

Interesting, the impression you’ve gotten from reading posts of mine. I’ll try to state my situation clearly.

I definitely benefited by taking xyrem, and so in that way, yes-I’m better. But I still take it. I have heard that xyrem is supposed to retrain the brain in normal sleep/wake cycles, but apparently it hasn’t taught mine yet. 🙂

What’s happened with me is I’ve found out I have lyme disease, and now am being treated for that. So, I’m not feeling better right now, since you feel worse before you get better with this illness. I am getting better, but it will take a while.

Hi – thanks for your response as well as the clarification and I apologize for any misunderstanding. At first I thought cortisol and xyrem was a bad combo for me but realize the problem was likely that the 2.25×2 xyrem starting dose was just way too high for me so I will restart xyrem soon on much lower dose.

I really hope things get turned around more quickly than you expect with the lyme disease.
