Layers and Filling

This PrimaSleep mattress comprises of five layers, each designed to fulfill a specific purpose.

The top (and the most important!) layer is a 15-inch Dura I Gel Foam that wicks away the heat and retains the cool, which makes it a perfect choice for places that have a hot and humid climate.

Both the second and the fourth layers are 45 inches long and comprise of Dura HD foam that provides support and prevents the deformation of the memory foam. In between these two layers, there is a 25 inches long layer of Dura HD Convoluted Foam that distributes body pressure evenly and provides better ventilation to keep the body cool.

Thickness and Firmness

In general, the thickness of memory foam mattresses varies between 6 inches and 14 inches. The rule of thumb is that the thicker the mattress, the more comfortable it is. This PrimaSleep mattress is 10 inches thick, which makes it the perfect option for anyone. It is neither too thin nor too thick and provides maximum comfort.

Moreover, the firmness of this mattress is one of its unique selling points. The top layer is plush, which means it falls somewhere in between completely firm and completely soft. The soft top layers of this mattress are completed by two layers of Dura HD form that keeps the back firmly supported. However, people who sleep on their stomach might find the plush layer too soft and hence, a little uncomfortable.

Motion Transfer

Are you tired of waking up mid-sleep due to the slightest of movements? If yes, then you probably need a product with minimum motion transfer, just like the PrimaSleep Mattress! Apart from being comfortable and supportive, this mattress keeps your body in a constant position all the time. This means that nothing can disturb your sleep even if your pet jumps on the bed or if you’re sleeping with a partner who changes the sleeping position several times during the night.

Noise coming from mattresses can be distracting. This is especially true for those who sleep with a partner, in a shared room or tend to move a lot during the night. In general, memory foam tends to eliminate noise or reduce it to the minimum. This is why the PrimaSleep Wave Gel-Infused Memory Foam passes the test. Unlike other models with the memory foam, this one also reduces noise to make sure you and your partner sleep peacefully.

Temperature Regulation

PrimaSleep Mattress Review (Winter 2022)Temperature regulation is a crucial factor, especially for those who live in either too hot and humid regions or extremely cold regions. This PrimaSleep mattress is ideal for those living in a hot climate region. It includes a 15-inch Dura I Gel Foam layer that keeps you cool. Moreover, the Dura HD Convoluted Foam layer ensures ventilation and maintains the body temperature to a certain extent. This allows you to easily rest or take a nap on a hot summer evening without actually feeling hot.

As for the material, it is made of high-quality polyester jacquard, which is quite durable and smooth to touch. However, this is the category where the PrimaSleep Wave Gel-Infused Memory Foam Mattress falls short. The layers of this mattress are not designed to stick together without the cover. Hence, the cover cannot be removed and washed. This means that you will have to be a little careful when using this mattress. If you have small kids who wet the bed or you are like having midnight snacks in bed, you will have to be extra careful.

However, this isn’t much of an issue as there are many effective cleaning products available in the market which you can use to clean the mattress. Just make sure you do it immediately, or else, the liquid can travel to the inner layers and ruin the mattress.

Inflation Time and Smell

Mattress in a box – this is the golden rule that generally applies to every memory foam mattress. This means that you will have to leave your mattress for at least 24 hours so that it can decompress before you can actually use it. Some people believe that it is a traditional rule that isn’t valid now, but we would recommend you follow it – just to be on the safe side.

As for the odor, memory foams are known for retaining an unpleasant chemical smell during the manufacturing and shipping process. This means that if you purchase this mattress, then upon arrival, there will be a strong smell that might make it impossible for you to sleep on it. You will have to keep the mattress in a well-ventilated room for a couple of days to reduce the smell. If you are particularly sensitive to such odors, you might require more time than this to get rid of it completely.

Edge Support

Good edge support in a mattress is a blessing. It prevents you from falling off the bed during the night. It is particularly important if you tend to move a lot or sleep near the edge. Luckily, the PrimaSleep Wave Gel-Infused Mattress comes with an additional layer of foam, which ensures excellent support. This way, you do not have to worry about the mattress losing its original shape.

PrimaSleep Mattress Review (Winter 2022)One of the factors that you should keep in mind is that the PrimaSleep mattress might have some durability issues if not used properly. You shouldn’t jump on it or let your kids do that. A few users have complained that the mattress started sagging after two years. On the other hand, the majority of owners didn’t have that problem, and they enjoyed sleeping on it.

Still, this mattress comes with a 10-year warranty, which means you can easily pass a decade without worrying about spending more money on a replacement. The manufacturer will replace the mattress or fix it in case of any defects.

Now, who doesn’t want a mattress with a great reputation and quality? While normally certification isn’t considered a major factor when deciding which mattress to buy, a good certification is proof that the product has all the features and sturdiness, as mentioned. This PrimaSleep mattress comes with market-leading testing certification. It is 100% Certi-PUR-US certified by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and is one of the best and most environmentally friendly mattresses you can buy!

An average consumer buys a mattress once in a decade or more, which means that durability is one of the most important factors when buying a mattress. The PrimaSleep Mattresses comes with a 10-year limited warranty, so you do not have to worry about durability-related issues. Moreover, there is also a 100-night risk-free trial, which means you can return the product to the company if you are not satisfied with it.

Price Tag

What really gives this model an edge over its competitors is the price tag. Although the price varies according to the size you choose, this product is generally more affordable than the popular models and comes with a variety of features that definitely give you value for money.

The starting price of this mattress is $115, which is fairly reasonable. It comes in 2 colors: blue and grey, and 5 sizes: Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California king.
